Water Inlet & Strainer OUTSIDE of INLET has 1 inch female thread to adapt the water supply to. If the supply is from two or more sources use a manifold arrangement. Inside of OUTLET has a 1 inch female thread to adapt to the STRAINER. STRAINER has a 1 inch male thread for removal, inspection, and cleaning.

FDA Approved ’Äì Carolina Water Tanks are constructed of Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE). Our polyethylene resin complies with US FDA regulation 21CFR 177.1520 (1) 3.1 and 3.2 for storage of potable water.
Inside of OUTLET has a 1 inch thread to adapt to standpipe set in the slip side of a 1 inch elbow, not cemented This allows the standpipe to serve as a drain valve. When the standpipe is wiggled loose and removed from the slip side of the elbow the water in the tank will flow out the OVERFLOW & DRAIN OUTLET. The elbow, short nipple and 1 inch male adaptor are cemented together. The male adaptor is threaded into the OVERFLOW & DRAIN OUTLET. This arrangement of the overflow standpipe in tank, surrounded by water circulating through the system insulates the overflow pipe and by combining the overflow and drain, eliminates a gate valve exposed to the elements.
